How to use and recipes

To strengthen the hair, dilute it with a little olive oil and put a small amount on your head and gently massage before going to bed. Put a towel on your pillow to avoid getting dirty. Bathe normally in the morning.

For prevention, oregano oil is an edible essential oil and its dosage is a drop in a little water or a cup of tea or juice or for even easier intake in a tablespoon of olive oil 2-3 times a day. For long-term use of the oil, it is recommended to take alternately, at intervals of 15 days, a break of one week.

For psoriasis or skin fungus, dilute a tablespoon of oregano oil with three tablespoons of olive oil and dab the area you want.

In cases of insect bites, minor burns or skin diseases e.g. acne, mix oregano oil with a base oil such as almond oil or olive oil and massage the area with a light massage.

Caution

Pregnant women should avoid using it as it can help increase blood flow to the uterus, which in turn can weaken the wall that surrounds the fetus inside the uterus.

Oregano oil can reduce your body's ability to absorb iron. Consult your doctor if you intend to use it frequently, as it may suggest that you take an iron supplement at the same time.

The use of oregano oil should be done carefully and only after it is first diluted, because otherwise it can dangerously irritate the skin and mucous membranes or organs.

If you are allergic to other herbs such as basil, sage or thyme, then you may also be sensitive to oregano, because they all come from the same plant family. Consult your doctor if you experience skin irritation or vomiting when starting to use oregano oil.
